Trade Unions
In France, there are many trade unions and they play a key role in corporate life and in the society. Historically, they have had a strong impact on the labor market.
Their purpose is to defend common professional interests.
The unionization rate in France is 11%.
Any employee over 18 (French or Non-French) has the right to become a member of the trade union of his/her choice.
Two main types of trade unions exist: employees trade unions and employers trade unions.
