Where can I get free medical care? (map)
If you have no social security coverage, you can access medical care in case of emergency:
- In some hospitals which provide continuous access to health care (in French, permanence d’accès aux soins de santé – PASS). You will be seeing a doctor and you will get medicine for free, if necessary.
- In some associations (i.a. for refugees and homeless people) which offer continuous access to dental, ophthalmologic or psychological care to people without social security coverage.
Children aged 0-6 and pregnant women can also got to a mother and child health center (in French, centre de protection maternelle et infantine – PMI) to get a medical follow-up (everyday issues, vaccines…). They won’t be asked for their social security coverage. Find the closest center to your place on fr (website in French only).
