Creating a business

In France, you can create a company even if you are not French. However, in some cases, you will have to change status.

Once you’ll have defined a clear project and found how to finance it, you must choose a status for your company.

You will then have to register your company at the Registre du Commerce et des Sociétés to get compulsory identification numbers such as a SIRET number, an APE code and a VAT number.

Once your company is registered, you will be allowed to start your business and invoice your clients. You will also have the possibility to download a “KBIS” online, which corresponds to your company’s ID.
